Driving in the countryside one sees field after field. Resting in the winter, afresh with the promise of corn in the summer. It's peaceful and expansive, the fields have gentle rolls, row after row of vegetation rises from the soil. Seas of greens and gold. Rows of trees separating one farm from another, and along the edges all sorts of wildflowers and weeds, varied and dense.

No scenic overlooks here, no Instagrammers posing, no tourists blogging. Yet bordering highways, alongside dirt roads, intersected by railways the land grows and feeds us, farmers working hard to provide for their families, communities, and beyond.
